LESSONS
Instruction in piano, voice, guitar, strings, wind instruments, percussion will be offered as qualified instructors are available. Lessons will be available to individuals who desire to begin or continue private instruction. The instruction will be adapted to the student’s age and ability. Lessons are 30 minutes in length and are taught weekly at the First Baptist Church. They are scheduled at a mutually agreeable time between the student and instructor.
Kindermusik* will be offered for children ages birth-7 years along with a parent or other adult. Village (birth-1.5) provides a unique blend of activities through which your baby’s growth and development are stimulated and all senses engaged. Our Time (1.5-3) encourages your child to uncover a musical world while building confidence, self-control, and communication skills. Imagine That (3-5) takes you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration…a journey limited only by the power of imagination. Young Child (5-7) provides a pressure-free, developmentally appropriate transition to succeed musically before taking on more formal education
FEES
There is a non-refundable annual registration fee of $20. In the event that two members of the same family are taking lessons, only one enrollment fee will be charged. Tuition is payable by the semester at the cost of $15 per half-hour of private instruction. If a student is taking two different lessons, the second lesson is $12 per half-hour. Group classes are $10 per lesson. Half of the semester fee is due on or before the first week of instruction in each semester, with the balance due in thirty days.

MAKE-UP LESSONS
Lessons missed by the student will not be made up or credited. In the case of extreme emergencies, illness or death in the family and with prior notice to the teacher, make-up lessons are negotiable by the teacher on an individual basis. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the teacher if a lesson is to be missed for any reason. If the teacher cannot be reached the student should notify the PAC at 538-7361. If local schools are closed due to inclement weather, there will be no lessons. Lessons will be made up if the PAC is closed.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Throughout the Bible we are encouraged to praise God through music and arts, and to utilize our talents in His service. It is to this end that the Performing Arts Center has been established. The PAC is a division of the music ministry of First Baptist Church and strives to provide the finest instruction possible in the performing arts. Our highly qualified and competent staff teach and encourage students to develop their God-given talents to their fullest potential.
