At FBCMW we have an Acts 1:8 strategy. We look for mission partnerships locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This strategy guides our mission thinking along with our natural denominational partnership with the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board.

Coming Up

Operation Christmas Child is just around the corner. OCC is a Gospel Relief effort that is a part of Samaritan’s Purse. A shoe sized box is packed with care items and the story of Jesus, God’s redeeming love. The collection date for our church is November 19th. Pack a box with your family, pack boxes with your Sunday School class, or donate by writing a check to Samaritans Purse (or donate online). Boxes will be made available the first Sunday in November or you can find plastic boxes (shoe box size) at any of the “Dollar” stores, you can also pick up special OCC plastic boxes at Hobby Lobby.

Join us in doing good and showing the love of Jesus through packing a box.

  • Community Ministries

Community Ministries is housed right here in FBCMW, yet is a mission expression made up of many of the churches here in Mount Washington. There is a food pantry and community distribution center that operated out of the basement of our historic Coakley Chapel. Opportunities to serve are on Thursdays from 8am - Noon.

  • Isaiah House
    We partner The Isiah House

  • Eastern Kentucky
First Baptist Mount Washington partners with Paul and Mary Jo Radosevich, Directors of Calvary Campus in Blackey, KY. Calvary Campus is a local partner for us connecting with local churches, people, and ministry opportunities in EKY.

  • Brooklyn, NY
FBCMW partners with Mosaic Church Brooklyn, NY. Stephen Stallard is the church planter there and seeks to reach the Crown Heights neighborhood for the Gospel. We love his heart for his community and love what God is doing there through Mosaic Church. Check them out here:

  • Vietnam

FBCMW partners with 2nd Mission to take the Gospel to Vietnam students. 2nd Mission has published "Road to Success", a book in Vietnamese that uses Biblical principles that relate to business - in the back is the Gospel of John. The book is given through coffee house socials and business presentations. Pray for Vietnam and be open to going with our church on this mission.
